Join the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America this month as Lynn Meade, instructor of public speaking, nonverbal communication, and persuasion at the University of Arkansas, shares tips for success in public speaking.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

LOCATION: The Jones Center, 922 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72764, in the Tyson Foods Executive Dining Room.

PARKING AND DIRECTIONS: Using the parking lot accessible from the Emma Avenue and Community Park Drive entrance (see attached map), enter through the west doors. You will pass by the sign for The Center for Nonprofits at The JTL Shop. Keep going and the parking lot is on your right. Once in The Jones Center, the Tyson Foods Executive Dining Room is located about 20 yards on the left next to the new fitness center.

COST: $15 for PRSA members and PRSSA students; and $25 for nonmembers. Cost includes program and meal. (Note: In May, our monthly program fee increased by $5 for members and nonmembers to cover expenses, including increased service and processing fees.)

During her 14-year tenure at the University of Arkansas, Lynn has trained speakers, coached politicians, and taught business professionals on the art of public speaking. Her speaking resume includes time as a Top 40 DJ, a manufacturer’s representative, a corporate trainer, and the director of a not-for-profit.
